Alcina was founded by the Bielefeld pharmacist Dr Kurt Wolff in 1946. His vision was to produce skincare cosmetics for all ages. To this day, the company mainly uses natural raw materials such as high-quality plant oils, allantoin, skin-friendly vitamins and natural moisturising factors. The diversity of his product development was always important to him, as he wanted to find the right product for all of his customers. The company founder developed his products with his own claim that Alcina cosmetic products should be optimised for the different skin problems of his customers. In 1981, Kurt was awarded the Unna Medal by the German Dermatological Society for his achievements in dermatology.
