With the 1872 Masculine Perfume Spray, Clive Christian presents an olfactory homage to the traditional Crown Perfumery. Historical references can also be found on the glass, where the coat of arms and the year 1872 are emblazoned in gold. The composition itself opens with the invigorating freshness of petitgrain, which blends harmoniously with other citrus accords and a hint of peach. A striking, herbaceous note of clary sage unfolds at the heart, lending the arrangement an aromatic depth. This accord is accompanied by subtle spicy nuances such as black pepper and nutmeg, which add a certain spiciness.
