Which cleansing gel is suitable for which skin type?

• Cleansing gel for dry skin: dry skin requires extra care. That's why it's best to reach for a cleansing product containing oil in this case. On the other hand, you should avoid gels that contain alcohol. These tend to irritate the skin and cause it to dry out even more.
• Cleansing gel for oily skin: a light anti-bacterial cleansing gel is the right choice for oily skin. These products contain special active ingredients which cleanse and calm the skin. This gives the complexion a clear, relaxed appearance.
• Cleansing gel for sensitive skin: sensitive skin needs a care product which is still effective without alcohol or fragrances. A mild face wash gel with pH-neutral ingredients is preferable.

If you’re not sure if your selected product is really right for you, carry out a small test before use. Use the cleansing gel and monitor your skin. The best way to use your cleansing gel

Tip 1: Apply a little cleansing gel into the palms of your hands. Now spread the product across your face in circular motions. Once you have covered your entire face, you can remove the wash gel with lukewarm water. The water definitely shouldn’t be too hot. Your skin could have an adverse reaction and dry out. Now carefully pat your skin dry with a clean cloth. Rubbing it aggressively is not advised: This can damage the epidermis and leads to redness.

Tip 2: After cleansing, it’s time to tone your skin. A good face toner or tonic will stimulate the circulation to the skin on your face. If you like, you can then use a nourishing night cream. The mouth and eyes should, of course, be carefully avoided in all of these steps.

Tip 3: Don't use normal soap to cleanse your face. This soap is generally intended for washing your hands and not for the sensitive skin on the face.
