Klar soaps are characterised by their natural ingredients. They are available free from palm oil and in organic quality for every requirement. Philipp Klar from Heidelberg took the plunge into self-employment back in 1840. He founded his soap-making business in Heidelberg. The soap maker acquired his knowledge, all his manual skills and a wealth of valuable experience while travelling. These had taken him as far as St Petersburg. To this day, the tradition of soap boiling is continued as a family business. Philipp Klar's three sons rebuilt the business after the Second World War and continued to run it. Numerous new ideas were developed and successfully realised. In the early 1970s, Philipp Klar's grandsons, Theo and Klaus, took over Klar Seifen. To this day, one of the oldest soap manufacturers in Germany still produces the popular soap bars in Heidelberg: These are beautifully packaged soaps as gifts as well as soaps for daily cleansing.
