ARTDECO Eye Shadow

A solid base is often crucial for successful eye make-up. The ARTDECO All in One Eye Primer acts as a primer specifically designed for use on the eyelid. A small clear glass jar with a black screw-top lid contains a creamy texture that is easy to apply. It has a neutral shade called “1 balance”, which can visually conceal redness or small blood vessels. This neutralising effect makes the skin tone of the eyelid appear more even. After application, the product leaves a matte finish, which is why it can also be used on its own for a natural nude look without any further eyeshadow. However, the primer’s main purpose is to extend the wear of powder or cream eyeshadows. The colour payoff of the make-up applied on top can appear more intense and radiant. Furthermore, the formula is smudge-proof, making it less likely to smudge throughout the day. Using this primer can also prevent pigment from settling into the crease of the eyelid. A thin layer, simply applied with your finger, is sufficient to achieve the desired result. As the shade is very neutral, the primer is equally suitable for all skin tones.

Eyeshadow primer is available in a tin, a tube or a bottle with an integrated applicator. However, the application of the individual products differs only slightly. Apply a thin layer of eyeshadow primer to the eyelid from the base of the eyelashes to the eyebrows. Use the applicator or your finger to apply the primer. Allow the primer to dry thoroughly before applying the eyeshadow and other eye make-up. If you want to create smokey eyes or use an eyeliner, we recommend applying a small amount of eyeshadow primer under the eye. Primers can be used on practically any skin tone due to their neutral colour nuance.
