GANT 1949 Eau de Toilette is an olfactory celebration of the brand's year of foundation and its rich legacy. In 2024, GANT introduces the Anniversary Collection, a limited edition capsule collection, created as a special tribute to the brand’s 75 Years of American Sportswear. A favorite from the vast GANT archive, a full-leather varsity jacket from the 1980s, is reinvented and becomes the main inspiration for this incomparable scent.
GANT 1949 is a fusion of zesty flavours that blend with a modern leather accord and woody ambery notes. The composition opens with tangy bergamot, lemon and a fruity hint of apple. The heart combines the warm aroma of cistus labdanum with cedarwood and spicy cinnamon bark. In the base, patchouli, ambery woods and musks perfectly round off the fragrance while the sensually modern leather accord lends sophisticated elegance.
Inspiration for the design: The iconic GANT varsity jacket which is a staple in every preppy wardrobe. The G-patch on the breast of the jacket has been illustrated on the folding box and reinterpreted in the shape of the glass. In keeping with the limited full-leather varsity jacket, the flacon shines with warm brown nuances.
