As part of the Les Légendaires collection, Guerlain presents L'Initial, an eau de parfum that captivates with its floral and ambery composition. The fragrance opens with a fresh combination of bergamot, jasmine and orange. The notes of iris and Turkish rose unfold in the heart, giving the perfume its powdery character.     This is a very delicate, restrained and floral-oriental youthful Shalimar. The fragrance is beautiful, suitable for everyday wear, can also be worn in the office without any problems, perhaps the right thing for Shalimar beginners and younger ladies, but for me personally it is too light and lacks the power compared to the other Shalimars. I had hoped that this would be the "Shalimar Parfum initial", which was discontinued a few years ago. Unfortunately, it is not. It is much lighter and does not have the warmth, longevity and depth that the former "Shalimar Parfum initial" had. The fragrance pyramid is also structured differently. The bottle is pretty, but also no comparison to the "Shalimars".
