Woody fragrances evoke a sense of nature and usually have a green or slightly bitter scent. With components such as sandalwood, cedar wood and patchouli, they call to mind a walk through a forest of dried leaves, and are particularly smoky and earthy when combined with vetiver or oakmoss.
