Haircare guide for oily hair

Greasy hair is caused by the production of sebum at the roots of the hair – the oil produced by the sebaceous glands protects the hair from drying out and keeps it supple. If the sebaceous glands produce an excessive amount of oil, the hair will quickly become greasy or stringy. The causes can be hereditary, but stress, an unhealthy diet and medication are also contributory factors.

Our haircare tips

To combat greasy hair, wash it regularly with a shampoo that you tolerate well. Washing your hair every day, on the other hand, can cause it to become greasy faster because the scalp produces more sebum in order to store the necessary moisture in your hair.
So our tip is: washing your hair two to three times a week is enough.
