As part of the Les Parfums Matières collection, Karl Lagerfeld interprets the peony as the central element of a floral-fruity composition with Fleur de Pivoine. The Eau de Parfum Spray opens with a clear top note that combines the sparkling freshness of mandarin with the fine acidity of redcurrant and green accords. This invigorating start flows smoothly into a velvety heart that focuses on the eponymous blossom. A bouquet of peony, jasmine and lily of the valley creates a delicate, floral depth that always remains transparent and light. To give the fragrance stability and warmth, a combination of white cedar and amber was chosen for the base, which gently rounds off and grounds the floral notes. The design of the bottle also reflects the characteristics of the fragrance: The glass is translucent, revealing the pink liquid inside, while the transparent cap features a colour-coordinated insert. Packaged in a white case with a leather look, the product emphasises a modern, purist aesthetic that focuses on the essentials.
