Panarea: The smallest and oldest Aeolian island radiates peace and quiet. Shattered bays near glowing olive grows, surrounded by emerald-green splashing waves. Among wild pistachios, agaves and gorses grows the myrtle plant. The goddess Venus wanted to decorate herself with a myrtle wreath when she was chosen by Paris. Since then, the myrtle has become a symbol for beauty and love. In the Middle Ages, its scent was described as “angelic water”. The scent note of Mirto di Panarea caresses the skin and soul with a pleasant, intensively regenerating breeze of the Italian Mediterranean sea.
The unique scent notes of the myrtle radiate slowly and pleasantly. The fragrance opens with its elegant, tingling top note, which is characterised by citrus fruit accents, such as Calabrian lemon and sweet orange. It is emphasised with the simple and unmistakable basil aroma. The heart note unfolds a floral core with velvet and elegance, where accents of jasmine, rose and lilac are combined with a light sea breeze and traces of blackcurrant. A feeling of deep well-being in the woody base note, which achieves its full potential with the aromatic fragrance notes of wild pistachios and juniper berries as well as cedar wood and amber.
