Since its launch in 2002, Ambre Gris Eau de Parfum Spray by Alyssa Ashley has been synonymous with a multi-faceted and profound fragrance signature. The composition combines fresh, citrusy elements with warm, ambery accords to create a harmonious overall picture. The olfactory experience opens with a sparkling top note in which Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian lemon meet, lending a certain lightness to the opening. This is followed by a floral heart, which is characterised by the fine aromas of Bulgarian rose, Indian jasmine and orange blossom. The complex base note, which combines precious ambergris, sandalwood and Madagascar vanilla with Virginia cedarwood and musk, ensures a long-lasting and sensual finish.     Perfume, Extrait, Intense and Eau de Toilette are sprayed onto the wrists and inside of the elbows, back of the knees, neck and décolleté from a distance of approx. 30 cm, either as a spray or with an atomiser.

    Put a splash on your finger or a cotton bud and dab it on the earlobes, temples, wrists, bends of the knees, décolleté, ankles and inside of the elbows.

    Apply drops of oil behind the ears, on the wrists, the ends of the hair or clothing.

    Parfum Roll-on is applied to the wrists, neck, décolleté, back of the knees and inside of the elbows.

    I ordered this fragrance because I have been using AA's Musk for many years and the direction of this perfume read very interesting. However, I can't understand the fresh citrus notes at all and the fragrance is generally quite harsh and heavy. However, it is not as floral as most standard fragrances. It has an extravagant note and lasts a medium amount of time. In my opinion, it becomes much sweeter and richer in facets after a medium wait. A good fragrance, but could be a little more balanced. My favourite remains clearly the Musk oil from AA.
