GUERLAIN, one of the oldest perfume houses in the world, has been run by the family for four generations. The company was founded in 1828 by Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain. He opened his first house in Paris, where he created perfumes together with his sons. High quality was important to him from the very beginning. This aspiration led to the rapid expansion of his company. In 1853, he was appointed royal court perfumer in France.
