Description by Samsara Eau de Toilette Spray by GUERLAIN
The Samsara Eau de Toilette Spray by GUERLAIN is a fragrance classic, now in a new and lighter bottle design. Launched in 1989 by Jean-Paul Guerlain and Gérard Anthony, the sweet, floral fragrance, seemingly inspired by 1001 Nights still touches the senses and is the ideal perfume for women who believe in the depth and authenticity of love. The Sanskrit word “samsara” means “eternal rebirth” and refers to the permanence of true emotions.
Powdery floral accords close with woody-oriental componentsIn the top note, GUERLAIN endows its eau de toilette spray with fresh, green scents such as citrus and bergamot, but also with the sweetness of peach and ylang-ylang. In the floral heart note, jasmine, rose, violet, narcissus, iris root and carnation shine, while the base note rounds off the fragrance with tonka bean, iris, amber, musk, sandalwood and vanilla. For the Samsara Eau de Toilette Spray, designer Robert Granai created a new transparent glass bottle, whose shape is reminiscent of an Eastern domed structured. Red like love, the name GUERLAIN is emblazoned on the bottle, which is decorated with circular and floral ornaments, thus paying homage to the bottle’s original deep red colour.
