Create casual and glamorous curls with ease

The Midi Waver VS5 from HH Simonsen is a curling iron for different types of application. Whether glamourous looks or casual beach styling, the specially developed ceramic heat technology always produces a great result. The innovative technology ensures even heat and you can create curly styles quickly and easily. The surface of the curling iron from the hair styling/curling irons & blow dryers category is coated with aluminium Teflon, which allows it to glide smoothly through the hair and minimise hair damage and frizz. You can heat the curling iron to up to 200 °C and the 2.2 metre cable gives you plenty of freedom of movement. The high-quality, heat-resistant handle made of lightweight material is comfortable to hold - even when styling the back of the head. Please note that the operating instructions are only supplied with the appliance in English and Danish.

Apply a heat protection spray throughout the hair and brush through well. Remember that your hair must be dry before you put it on the curling iron. If the hair is damp or even wet, it can burn. If your curling iron has a temperature control, select the right temperature for your hair type. For fine hair, this is 160 to 180 degrees, thick hair can withstand temperatures of 180 to 220 degrees.

Section the hair. It is important to put the top hair up, as you will start twisting the curls from the bottom. Divide the rest of the hair into smaller sections to make your work easier. Now you can begin: Make sure you wind strands of the same thickness onto the curling iron to achieve an even result.

Pinch the strand at the tip and twist it onto the curling iron. Hold the curl in this position for around 10 to 20 seconds.

Leave the curl to cool in your hand. For a more casual look, you can simply shake or comb through the hair at the end.

Set the result with hairspray or mousse. Use a special curl cream to add definition to your curls.
