High-quality natural rubber forms the basis for the Hercules Sägemann handle comb model 188R-497R, which is processed into robust ebonite by vulcanisation. The styling tool is given its final shape and quality in a traditional manufacturing process involving 36 manual steps. The technically precise sawn and finely ground teeth are particularly characteristic and enable mechanically gentle use. Neither burrs nor sharp edges impair the hair structure, as both the tooth flanks and the tooth tips are carefully rounded. In addition, the base of the teeth and the back of the comb undergo an intensive polishing process to ensure an absolutely smooth glide. With an overall length of 8 inches or approx. 20.2 cm, the model is well-balanced in the hand. A flat handle, which ends in a point and has an integrated grip grid, supports the precise parting of individual sections of hair. The deep black colour in combination with the golden embossing gives the comb a timeless look. Thanks to the non-porous surface of the material, the accessory is also very easy and hygienic to clean, which supports the longevity of the product.
