Use scented candles correctly:
When you light the festive candle from Parfums de Marly, you should always be present for safety reasons. To enjoy the fragrance for as long as possible, we recommend shortening the wick a little each time the candle goes out. A length of half a centimetre is ideal. After the first lighting, the entire top layer of wax should liquefy before you blow out the candle. This makes the burning behaviour more regular and prevents the wax inside from being consumed more quickly than at the edge.Description

Scented candles are very easy to use, but a few factors greatly improve the burning behaviour and safety. Always place the scented candle on an even surface in a windless place and away from flammable materials. Before lighting, you should also shorten the wick to around 5 mm. To avoid tunnelling, leave the scented candle burning for at least as long as it takes for the top layer of wax to melt completely. This can take around two hours. However, you should not exceed a burning time of four hours at a time. For optimum burning quality, you should always extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.
