The bright yellow Arnica montana forms the centrepiece of this carefully crafted tincture. Weleda processes the entire plant (planta tota) for the arnica essence in order to bundle the full spectrum of plant components into an extract. This essence is specially designed for external use and is primarily used to make moist compresses. For use, the alcoholic liquid, which contains around 36% by volume, is diluted with water. A mixing ratio of one tablespoon of essence to approximately 250 ml of water has become established. Compresses soaked in this solution can then be applied to undamaged areas of skin. A natural, herbaceous fragrance accompanies the application and emphasises the herbal origin. It is stored in a classic brown glass bottle, which protects the contents from light. The anthroposophical orientation emphasises the purity of the ingredients. Users appreciate the opportunity to prepare compresses with this essence, which can be used as a supportive measure as part of conscious body care.
