First moisten the skin on the face with a shaving brush. Use lukewarm water. Then apply the shaving cream from the jar, tube or dispenser directly to the shaving brush. A hazelnut-sized amount is perfectly sufficient. The skin areas to be shaved are rubbed in with the brush in a circular motion. This creates a soft lather that remains on the skin.
