Goldwell Care Return

Specifically developed for correcting colour results within the Elumen system, Goldwell offers a precise solution with Elumen Return. This colour reducer is designed to tone down and largely remove unwanted colour intensity or shades that are too dark immediately after colouring. The advanced formulation contains no oxidising or reducing agents whatsoever, which ensures a comparatively gentle treatment of the hair structure. The underlying principle of operation is based on a physical reversal of polarity, in which a negative charge is generated that can dislodge the Elumen pigments – which are also negatively charged – from the hair. To use, the liquid is applied to dry, clean hair and can be left on for up to 30 minutes under heat, although the processing time may vary. Depending on the desired degree of colour correction, the process can be repeated up to three times to optimise the result. The white 250 ml bottle with the silver cap and distinctive burgundy brushstrokes thus contains a specialised product for professional use that is ammonia-free. This product is exclusively tailored to Elumen colour technology. Follow-up care is recommended to adequately prepare the hair surface after treatment.

Before applying a hair tint, moisten your hair and then lightly towel-dry it. Then put on the gloves that come with the tint and apply the paste to your fingers. The hair colour is then worked in from the roots to the ends. You can spread the colour through your hair with your fingers or with a comb. The result is more even if the colour is distributed with a comb. The colour remains in the hair for around 20 to 30 minutes to achieve the desired result. The hair is then rinsed until clear water can be seen. After tinting, the hair is not washed for 24 to 48 hours.
