THE CREATION
With the Eau de Toilette Un Jardin sous la Mer, Christine Nagel, the perfumer at Hermès, follows the call of the sea and invites you to discover a very special garden. Set course for the island of Tahaa in distant Polynesia: an unspoilt corner of the world where mountains and reefs, plants and corals harmonise in silent harmony.
THE FRAGRANCE NOTES

A floral, musky fragrance: Un Jardin sous la Mer combines the sun-kissed tiare blossom with the enveloping character of tamanu nut and mineral notes reminiscent of coral reefs.
THE OBJECT

The legendary Hermès bottle was designed by Fred Rawlyer and is inspired by the shapes of the lanterns of historic horse-drawn carriages. Its colour gradient reflects the azure blue of the sky and the crystal-clear waters of the Tahaa lagoon. On the case, the watercolour drawings by artist Aino-Maija Metsola bring the vibrant and luminous coral reef to life.

THE HERMÈS DETAIL

For each fragrance in the Parfums-Jardins collection, Hermès invites an artist to design the case with poetic images. The brand gives him or her complete freedom to express the respective garden. "At Hermès, everything is a design - and everything starts with the drawing," explains Pierre-Alexis Dumas, the artistic director of Hermès.

ETHICS
The bottles of Un Jardin sous la Mer are available in 100 ml, 50 ml and 30 ml formats and can be refilled using the 200 ml refill bottle, which is available separately.
