Wella Hair colours

The Illumina Color Opal Essence from Wella Professionals was developed as a permanent hair colour to give the hair a metallic, milky shimmer. The special formulation creates light reflections that combine both warm and cool aspects and are reminiscent of the lustre of an opal. As the nuances do not have their own depth of colour, they lie gently over the existing hair structure without covering it darkly. This effect is particularly effective on lighter-coloured hair or a base from shade depth 6. Depending on the incidence of light and movement of the hair, the visual perception of the colour changes, creating a lively appearance. There are five different shades to choose from, such as Titanium Rose, Copper Peach or Chrome Olive, which set individual accents. The product is not designed for white coverage alone, but can be easily mixed with classic Illumina Color shades. The integrated Microlight Technology helps to maximise the luminosity of the colour. It is usually used in conjunction with the Welloxon Perfect developer, whereby the application time takes place without heat.

Before applying a hair tint, moisten your hair and then lightly towel-dry it. Then put on the gloves that come with the tint and apply the paste to your fingers. The hair colour is then worked in from the roots to the ends. You can spread the colour through your hair with your fingers or with a comb. The result is more even if the colour is distributed with a comb. The colour remains in the hair for around 20 to 30 minutes to achieve the desired result. The hair is then rinsed until clear water can be seen. After tinting, the hair is not washed for 24 to 48 hours.
