Instructions for using the Yankee Candle Sage & Citrus tumbler candle
For safe use, always place the scented candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Also make sure that the location is out of reach of children and pets. The wick should be shortened to a length of 3 to 5 mm before lighting. The small flame ensures that the candle burns evenly and soot formation is prevented. The scented candle should burn for at least 2 hours at a time so that the top layer of wax can liquefy and the wax does not tunnel. You should extinguish the candle after a maximum of 4 hours. Between uses, the scented candle can be protected with the enclosed lid.Description

Scented candles are very easy to use, but a few factors greatly improve the burning behaviour and safety. Always place the scented candle on an even surface in a windless place and away from flammable materials. Before lighting, you should also shorten the wick to around 5 mm. To avoid tunnelling, leave the scented candle burning for at least as long as it takes for the top layer of wax to melt completely. This can take around two hours. However, you should not exceed a burning time of four hours at a time. For optimum burning quality, you should always extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.
