smashbox is a label that even professional make-up artists are convinced of. Insiders are not surprised that this is the case. Since 1990, two great-grandsons of the legendary Max Factor, photographer Davis Factor and his brother Dean, have been working in the hardly less famous creative photo studio in Los Angeles, putting models, actors and musicians in the right light together with other international photographers. The plan soon developed to incorporate the practical experience gained from this work into his own make-up label. In 1996, the time had come and smashbox launched its first successful product, a primer, onto the market.
