The ANNY Nail Protector Base Coat, recognisable by the white lettering ‘nail protector 941’, acts as a transparent base coat. The brand’s signature square glass bottle, with its glossy black cap, contains a quick-drying formula. This special formula has been developed to prepare the nail for the subsequent application of colour. The brush integrated into the cap allows for a thin and even application directly onto the nail, which has been previously cleaned of dust and oil. This clear layer acts as a physical barrier, protecting the nail plate from potential yellowing caused by intense colour pigments. Furthermore, the formulation is deliberately free from formaldehyde. An extract of Crithmum maritimum, also known as sea mustard, is included to complement the composition of the polish effectively. Applying this base coat can improve the adhesion of subsequent layers of coloured polish and help them last longer on the nail. Even on nails subject to mechanical stress, the product can act as a stabilising intermediate layer to minimise premature chipping of the coloured polish. Apply the Nail Protector thinly and evenly to the clean, dust-free and grease-free nail and allow to dry thoroughly. Then paint over it with your favourite colour polish. When applied alone, the care polish conjures up a natural, shiny finish.
