An editor from Vogue was once the driving force behind the creation of Clinique in 1968. He asked dermatologist Norman Orentreich the sensible question of whether skin can become more beautiful through skincare. Norman Orentreich answered in the affirmative and used his own answer as the impetus to develop sophisticated and well-tolerated skin care. As a subsidiary of the Estée Lauder Companies, Clinique remains true to this claim to this day. All products are dermatologically tested, allergy-tested and 100 per cent fragrance-free. More than six million test applications have been submitted since the company was founded, and new ones are constantly being added in order to remain true to its own standards.

Happy, the brand's best-selling fragrance for women, is not only popular as a perfume. It is now also available as a body spray that envelops its wearer in a fresh citrus fragrance for hours. It is not only the decorative bottle that promises pleasure, but also the composition of the fragrances. As with the perfume, the base note of the fragrance body spray is carried by musk. The heart note is emphasised by morning dew orchid, lily and magnolia, which unfold after the first impression of the top note of ruby red grapefruit and mandarin. A few puffs from the pump bottle are enough to honour the name of the fragrance, Happy.
