Féminité du bois, in English “the femininity of wood”, is a fragrance specially developed for women that acts as a contrast to the unisex fragrances from Serge Lutens. As the name suggests, this creation makes use of the inimitable scents of beautiful woods by highlighting their feminine and delicate aura. The very natural composition is a super all-rounder for all year round and is just as well suited to a day at the office as it is to a chic dinner or just everyday use. The Eau de Parfum Spray comes in a longish flaçon with a brown base and similarly brown cap. It was released in 2009 and designed by perfumer Christopher Sheldrake.

Some very experienced and adept fragrance connoisseurs see a quite clear connection between this Eau de Parfum Spray and the Shiseido Féminité du bois creation. The fragrance from Serge Lutens is a new edition and a slightly adapted interpretation of the Shiseido classic which first appeared in 1992. The magical scents are also defined by many sweet notes here which on the one hand match the woods perfectly and on the other gives the fragrance a very gentle aroma. Here you will find, for example, peach, beeswax, honey and orange blossoms.

Unlike many other unisex fragrances from Serge Lutens, the Féminité du bois Eau de Parfum Spray uses a very light and open frame. The sweet ingredients are complemented by ylang ylang, cedar, delicate rose, plum and cloves. At the same time, the base contains, for example, cedar, cinnamon, vanilla and viola to give the fragrance floral characteristics too. Overall, this creates a striking, exciting and very attractive perfume which can also be seen as an addition to the unisex fragrances. Although intended to be a women’s fragrance, many men also find joy in this product.
