How to use the Yankee Candle White Gardenia Tumbler

The scented candle should be placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials and draughts. Before lighting, shorten the wick to a length of 3 to 5 mm. This prevents excessive soot formation and helps the candle to burn evenly. The candle should burn for around 2 hours each time it is used so that the top layer of wax can liquefy completely. This prevents the wax from burning only in the centre.

Scented candles are very easy to use, but a few factors greatly improve the burning behaviour and safety. Always place the scented candle on an even surface in a windless place and away from flammable materials. Before lighting, you should also shorten the wick to around 5 mm. To avoid tunnelling, leave the scented candle burning for at least as long as it takes for the top layer of wax to melt completely. This can take around two hours. However, you should not exceed a burning time of four hours at a time. For optimum burning quality, you should always extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.
