Before applying the self-tanner to your body, you should shave your skin the evening before and exfoliate it on the day of application. Once the rough patches and dead skin cells have been removed, the tan will look particularly even. Then treat the dry areas of skin on your elbows, heels, knees and hands with a light body lotion.
