Created by Christine Nagel, perfumer at Hermès, the Eau de Toilette Un Jardin à Cythère is a surprising garden that is neither green nor full of flowers – a garden in shades of blonde. It is the expression of an olfactory quest that leads across the Peloponnese to Kythira – an unspoilt Greek island that has inspired countless artists.

The Eau de Toilette Un Jardin à Cythère is a woody citrus fragrance that combines the enveloping character of grasses with the strength of the olive tree and the tenderness of fresh pistachio.
THE BOTTLE
The bottle, designed by Fred Rawyler, is inspired by the lanterns of horse-drawn carriages of days gone by. With its bright yellow colour gradient, the glass evokes the sunny fragrance. On the packaging, the artist Elias Kafouros has depicted a landscape in the colours of his homeland: with golden grasses, green olive trees, fresh pink pistachios and the blue sea in the background.

In order for men's perfume to really come into its own, it is always sprayed very sparingly and directly onto the skin. The chosen fragrance is quickly released through body heat. If you use a spray bottle, the distance should be around 20 cm. The fine spray mist is not rubbed off and dries on the skin. As the spray mist rises from the bottom upwards, the skin is always perfumed from the bottom upwards. Ideally, the body should be prepared with an odourless body lotion before perfuming. The fragrances in the men's perfume will cling to the lipids in the lotion, ensuring a longer-lasting fragrance experience.
