THE CREATION
In 2011, Jean-Claude Ellena created Voyage d’Hermès Parfum, an intense, lavish reinterpretation of the original fragrance. “For me, it was less about the principle of ‘concentration’ and more about enhancing the opulence of the fragrance and achieving a heightened sensory intensity.”
THE FRAGRANCE NOTES
With its woody amber notes, Voyage d’Hermès Parfum reveals the invigorating power of juniper berry combined with the milky-sweet character of sandalwood.
THE OBJECT
Designer Philippe Mouquet has created a unique object inspired by a pocket magnifying glass found by chance by the wayside. The black glass bottle is adorned with a silver-coloured stirrup featuring the iconic ‘Clou de selle’ saddler’s nail.
ETHICS
The bottle can be refilled thanks to the 200 ml perfume refill bottle. An object created to last, and at the same time an environmentally conscious gesture.

Ever since Thierry Hermès opened a Parisian workshop specialising in horse harnesses and saddles in 1837, Hermès has translated movement into craftsmanship to create faithful travelling companions. This theme sparks the imagination and breathes life into the House’s culture.

Voyage d’Hermès is a novel that draws on the realm of the imagination and reveals the unusual, deep connection that the House of Hermès maintains with the theme of travel. The interplay of paradoxical yet complementary elements, along with unusual combinations, brings to the fore familiar yet surprisingly fresh woody notes and musky tones, which create accents that are both lively and soothing, appealing to men and women alike. Philippe Mouquet, a designer for Hermès, created a decorative, portable bottle for Voyage d’Hermès that embodies movement and is therefore the ideal travelling companion.
