The name Miyake doesn’t stand for a specific style, but for creative genius par excellence. The Japanese fashion designer learnt his craft at Tokyo University of the Arts. He subsequently worked in Paris for renowned fashion designers including Hubert de Givenchy and Guy Laroche, and then later for Geoffrey Beene in New York. In 1970, Miyake founded his first design studio in Japan. His outstanding creations comprise colourful fashion made of feather-light silk and elegant perfume, including unique men’s fragrances.
