In 1955, as soon as he finished school, Jean-Charles Brosseau founded his own fashion label in Paris. Back then he wasn’t interested in perfume. He made a name for himself but his big break came much later. In 1978 Jean-Charles accidentally discovered an enchanting and unique recipe.
Musk notes, heliotrope, vanilla and rosewood He didn’t need anything else to create the enchanting perfume Ombre Rose. In 1981 the perfume became a best seller in the USA and the Middle and Far East thanks to some brave investors. Today Ombre Rose from Jean-Charles Brosseau is considered to be one of the five best perfumes in the world and the designer’s other perfumes are much loved around the world. Small elegant perfume bottles are a trade mark for Jean-Charles Brosseau’s perfumes as are the exquisite ingredients that make up the fragrances for women and men. The designer continues to remain true to himself: for thirty years he has avoided mixing a vast array of aromas and creates clear, uncomplicated perfumes that maintain an element of surprise.
