The Bond Builder Lipid Shield Oil from Philip Kingsley has been specially designed to meet the demanding needs of frequently heat-treated, coloured or chemically processed hair. At the centre of the advanced formulation is a biomimetic technology that aims to mimic the structure of the natural lipid layer of the hair surface. Among other things, the specialised 18-MEA (18-Methyl Eicosanoic Acid) is used to visually soothe the hair structure. This approach is complemented by a careful selection of light oils, including camellia oil, chia seed oil and sunflower seed wax, combined with coco-caprylate for a smooth finish. Despite its complex composition, the product is characterised by a remarkably light texture that is quickly absorbed and leaves no visible greasy residue. A key aspect is dealing with thermal stress caused by styling appliances: the oil can provide heat protection up to 232 °C and thus shield the hair from the effects of high temperatures. The application options are flexible, so the product can be used as a leave-in finish, an intensive overnight treatment or as an additive under a pre-shampoo treatment.

All three products work in perfect harmony and enable a complete, repairing hair care routine:
Start with the Bond Builder Restructuring Treatment pre-shampoo treatment, which repairs and strengthens broken disulphide bridges inside the hair. It strengthens the hair structure from the inside out and improves the hair's resistance.
After shampooing and conditioning, the Bond Builder Restorative Oil follows. This was developed to restore the lipid layer - the hair's first protective barrier - and effectively protect the hair fibres from further damage.
The final step is Bond Builder Split End Remedy, which seals split ends and strengthens the hair structure before styling.
