A good shave starts before the first cut. The Proraso Refresh Professional Pre-Shave Cream was developed to optimally prepare the skin and stubble for the upcoming shave. The creamy texture spreads effortlessly over damp skin and is quickly absorbed without leaving a film. Its formulation with eucalyptus oil and menthol provides a pleasantly cooling and refreshing feeling on the skin. The product is based on 98% ingredients of natural origin and deliberately avoids parabens, phthalates, silicones, mineral oils and artificial colourings. As an Italian classic, this pre-shave cream is suitable for all beard and skin types and is a tried and tested component of many grooming routines. The application prepares the skin for a gentle shave and leaves the skin feeling revitalised.

A pre-shave is the perfect care product to prepare for shaving. Before applying an oil, cream, lotion or water, the facial skin is thoroughly cleansed. Particularly when shaving wet, the hairs are absorbed as soon as the product is applied and are then easier to shave. Skin irritation is avoided and there are fewer injuries from the sharp blades. Ideally, you should apply a pre-shave for dry shaving against the direction of beard hair growth. This straightens the beard hairs and removes liquids. The electric shaver then glides over the skin with almost no resistance. An aftershave is of course used after wet or dry shaving.
