Pycnogenol 5% is an innovative serum from The Ordinary. It is antioxidant and has an oil-like consistency, but is oil- and water-free. The serums also contain no alcohol or silicones, making them suitable for sensitive skin types. The main ingredient is Pinus Pinaster Bark Extract - an extract from French maritime pine bark, which is known for its high content of antioxidant procyanidins. It protects the skin from aggressive oxygen compounds (free radicals) and ensures that it is better able to withstand environmental influences such as wind, cold, UV radiation and heating air.

In addition to Pinus Pinaster Bark Extract, The Ordinary skincare contains Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), which further strengthens the antioxidant effect and also ensures a rosier complexion and a more even skin texture.
