How to use the Yankee Candle Mango Ice Cream scented candle

Candles should always be placed on stable, heat-resistant surfaces. Also ensure that the candle is placed away from flammable materials and out of reach of children and pets. Before lighting the candle, shorten the wick length to 3 to 5 mm. This keeps the candle flame small and the candle burns as evenly as possible without producing soot. To prevent the formation of a tunnel, the scented candles should burn for at least 2 hours so that the top layer of wax becomes completely liquid. However, the candle should be extinguished after a maximum of 4 hours. The glass lid protects the candle from loss of flavour between uses.

Scented candles are very easy to use, but a few factors greatly improve the burning behaviour and safety. Always place the scented candle on an even surface in a windless place and away from flammable materials. Before lighting, you should also shorten the wick to around 5 mm. To avoid tunnelling, leave the scented candle burning for at least as long as it takes for the top layer of wax to melt completely. This can take around two hours. However, you should not exceed a burning time of four hours at a time. For optimum burning quality, you should always extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.
