HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Still looking for a last minute Halloween costume?
For beauty lovers, Halloween is the make-up highlight of the year. This is the day when we can really go wild, adorning our faces with intricate and colourful designs. We’ll show you two super-easy Halloween looks to recreate that don’t require a costume or fancy make-up skills.
Mermaid
For this first stage, you’ll need eyeshadow, a make-up brush and a hair net. (A pair of fishnet tights works too!)
Start by contouring your face with a colourful eyeshadow. Once you’ve done that, carefully position the hair net over your forehead, cheeks and neck. Dab eye shadow on top with your brush, then remove the hair net. The mesh texture makes the colours look like scales.
Next, apply glitter or highlighter to your cheekbones and forehead. This creates a shimmery glow that will give your make-up a dramatic effect. Want to customise your make-up look even more? You could add gemstones above your eyebrows using eyelash glue. And that’s just one idea!
To round off the look, apply some colour to your lips. Tip: Choose a lipstick that matches one of your eyeshadow tones.
Grunge spider web
For the second make-up look, you’ll need eyeshadow, eyeliner and a make-up brush.
Use a dark red eyeshadow as the base for your eye make-up. Add some coloured highlights with lighter shades of red or orange.
In the second step, take your eyeliner and draw a long line along your lashes. Then draw three more lines starting from your lower lash line. These lines form the basis for our spider web look.
Connect the eyeliner along your eyelid to these lower lines with shorter, curved lines to create half a spider’s web.
For the last step, use red eyeshadow to outline the web and contour your lower lash line. Outline your lips with your kajal eyeliner or a dark lip liner. Finish off your grunge make-up look with a matching red lipstick.
We hope you have a great time at your next Halloween party!
