The Kensington Majestic Elegance scented candles from Atkinsons conjure up images in your mind of the London district of Kensington, which is internationally renowned for the neighbourhood of Kensington Palace. The multi-layered fragrance puts you in an upbeat mood with notes of Indonesian patchouli, almond, cedar and guaiac wood. At the same time, the blend of vegetable wax and other high-quality waxes ensures a very even burning behaviour.
You buy the Kensington Majestic Elegance scented candle in a jar with an expressive design. The Atkinsons emblem with the two bears stands out against the black tinted surface of the glass. Once the candle has been extinguished, you can use this jar to store small household utensils.
How to get even more from the scented candles:
Leave the candles to burn in one piece until the wax on the surface has melted to the edge of the jar. This will prevent edges from remaining on the outside as the candle continues to burn. If the flame is too high, you can easily reduce it by shortening the wick to approx. 0.5 cm. Scented candles are very easy to use, but a few factors greatly improve the burning behaviour and safety. Always place the scented candle on an even surface in a windless place and away from flammable materials. Before lighting, you should also shorten the wick to around 5 mm. To avoid tunnelling, leave the scented candle burning for at least as long as it takes for the top layer of wax to melt completely. This can take around two hours. However, you should not exceed a burning time of four hours at a time. For optimum burning quality, you should always extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.
