THE CREATION
The Eau de Toilette Bel Ami, which refers to the novel of the same name by Guy de Maupassant, celebrates the authenticity of unadulterated leather. Created in 1986 by perfumer Jean-Louis Sieuzac, the fragrance composition interprets the material with an opulence that is unrivalled in character.

The leathery and woody fragrance of Eau de Toilette Bel Ami expresses the daring encounter between beguiling patchouli, expressive leather and sensual lacquer cistus.

THE OBJECT
The bottle is inspired by the lanterns of horse-drawn carriages of the past and the black lid is reminiscent of the shape of a riding helmet. The fragrance's affiliation with the Parfums Fondateurs collection is recognisable by the label on the back, which features a motif by Philippe Dumas.

In order for men's perfume to really come into its own, it is always sprayed very sparingly and directly onto the skin. The chosen fragrance is quickly released through body heat. If you use a spray bottle, the distance should be around 20 cm. The fine spray mist is not rubbed off and dries on the skin. As the spray mist rises from the bottom upwards, the skin is always perfumed from the bottom upwards. Ideally, the body should be prepared with an odourless body lotion before perfuming. The fragrances in the men's perfume will cling to the lipids in the lotion, ensuring a longer-lasting fragrance experience.
