THE CREATION
The Eau de Toilette Un Jardin sur le Toit tells of a hidden garden in the centre of Paris: a piece of nature, on the roof of the Hermès headquarters at 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena honoured this garden of joy and celebration with the creation of this fragrance in 2011.
THE FRAGRANCE NOTES
The fruity-botanical Eau de Toilette Un Jardin sur le Toit lets a crisp apple tree grow next to a juicy pear tree in the Parisian air.
THE OBJECT
The bottle designed by Fred Rawyler is inspired by the lanterns of horse-drawn carriages of the past. The glass of the bottle glows a vibrant green. Philippe Dumas, a member of the Hermès family, illustrated the packaging with this garden in the heart of the city.
The Parfums-Jardins collection represents the encounter between the soul of a place, the inspiration of the perfumer and the theme that Hermès chooses each year for its creations. It is an olfactory walk that fulfils all desires and desires: the longing for freshness, for reverie and escape from everyday life.
"A festive yet idiosyncratic garden that stretches out towards the light." Jean-Claude Ellena.
Un Jardin sur le Toit is a lively, sparkling tale that offers a glimpse into a secret garden hidden in the heart of Paris. A garden between heaven and earth on the roof of Hermès, 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
An apple tree, a pear tree and a magnolia exude their fragrance and, together with wild greenery, create this crisp, fresh, cheerful perfume full of light and joy.
