The story of Reuzel begins in the era of rock ‘n’ roll craziness and the punk rebellion, 40 years ago in Rotterdam, Holland. Leen and Bertus, affectionately known as The Bearded Bastard and The Bloody Butcher, began to cut hair and beards at the tender age of 14.

Soon the pioneers founded the cult barbershop Schorem Haarsnijder en Barbier in the heart of Rotterdam. The barbershop exclusively welcomes men who want their hair and beards styled in a traditional manner. The two barbers work with pomades and other old-school styling products.

The most frequent customers include rockers, bikers, businessmen and other tough guys. After over 50 years of experience in the trade, the barbers founded the Reuzel brand, an allusion to the pomades they designed themselves.

What characterises Reuzel products?

All Reuzel products are manufactured largely by hand. They contain only natural ingredients like beeswax, honey and peppermint. The high-shine pomades by Reuzel are especially popular. They smell good, create the ultimate in shine and are easy to rinse out. They provide strong hold and can be applied to dry hair.
