I don't know exactly what the clay in this product does. This clay pomade just looks greasy in the hair. You don't notice the effect of bentonite or kaolin in the hair. It is easy to warm up in the hands and work into the hair as it doesn't pull, but I personally don't think the product gives me enough control. The hold is medium.
