with a decorative pewter lid. The lid fulfils a dual function. Once you have removed it, it can be used as a coaster for the scented candle. The candle weighs 567 g. This corresponds to a burning time of 60 to 100 hours. A wick made of 100% natural fibre ensures that the candle burns evenly. You can further enhance this property: After lighting the candle for the first time, leave it to burn until the top layer of wax has completely melted. Scented candles are very easy to use, but a few factors greatly improve the burning behaviour and safety. Always place the scented candle on an even surface in a windless place and away from flammable materials. Before lighting, you should also shorten the wick to around 5 mm. To avoid tunnelling, leave the scented candle burning for at least as long as it takes for the top layer of wax to melt completely. This can take around two hours. However, you should not exceed a burning time of four hours at a time. For optimum burning quality, you should always extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.
