Goldwell Colour Service Thickener

The consistency of colour and lightening products can be individually adjusted using the Goldwell System Thickener. This concentrated fluid has been specially developed to thicken oxidative colours and bleaches as required, allowing the viscosity of the working mixture to be precisely adjusted. By specifically altering the texture, unwanted running of the mixture is minimised, which facilitates controlled and precise application of the colour to the hair strand. Particularly when using demanding freehand techniques or detailed colour gradients, the more stable mixture offers greater confidence during application. The formulation is compatible with various Goldwell ranges, such as Topchic and Nectaya, and utilises special copolymers as thickeners and emulsifiers. Colour performance remains unaffected, whilst handling is optimised. A black bottle with a pointed applicator tip and ribbed cap makes it easy to dispense the liquid precisely into the colour bowl. This creates bespoke consistencies for creative colouring techniques where precision and cleanliness are paramount.

Before applying a hair tint, moisten your hair and then lightly towel-dry it. Then put on the gloves that come with the tint and apply the paste to your fingers. The hair colour is then worked in from the roots to the ends. You can spread the colour through your hair with your fingers or with a comb. The result is more even if the colour is distributed with a comb. The colour remains in the hair for around 20 to 30 minutes to achieve the desired result. The hair is then rinsed until clear water can be seen. After tinting, the hair is not washed for 24 to 48 hours.
