Hermès Calèche

THE CREATION
Created in 1961 by perfumer Guy Robert, Calèche is the first Hermès fragrance for women. Its name refers to the elegant and light horse-drawn carriage of the 19th century, which is the symbol of Hermès: the calèche.

THE FRAGRANCE NOTES
With its floral aldehyde fragrance, Eau de Toilette Calèche combines sophisticated aldehyde notes with the scent of jasmine and light rose in a very feminine composition.

THE OBJECT
The bottle is inspired by the lanterns of horse-drawn carriages of yesteryear and the black lid is reminiscent of the shape of a riding helmet. The fragrance's affiliation with the Parfums Fondateurs collection is recognisable from the label on the back, which features a motif by Philippe Dumas.

Calèche is an exceptionally feminine, floral-woody perfume with chypre notes that Guy Robert created in 1961 as the first Hermès women's fragrance. Its name refers to the team of horses that serves as the emblem of the House of Hermès. Calèche captivates with the splendour of its fragrances: cheerful citrus character, modern aldehyde notes, a floral heart note with hints of ylang-ylang, rose and jasmine, chypre and woody notes in the fragrance trail, which are wonderfully accentuated by the exquisite scent of iris.

Perfume, Extrait, Intense and Eau de Toilette are sprayed onto the wrists and inside of the elbows, back of the knees, neck and décolleté from a distance of approx. 30 cm, either as a spray or with an atomiser.

Put a splash on your finger or a cotton bud and dab it on the earlobes, temples, wrists, bends of the knees, décolleté, ankles and inside of the elbows.

Apply drops of oil behind the ears, on the wrists, the ends of the hair or clothing.

Parfum Roll-on is applied to the wrists, neck, décolleté, back of the knees and inside of the elbows.
