The Yankee Candle A Calm & Quiet Place votive candle in a jar fills the room with a calming fragrance. The fresh aroma of mandarin leaves unfolds in the top note. The charming heart of the fragrance reveals allusions to cedarwood and jasmine. The base is a profound blend of amber, musk, patchouli and sandalwood. The blend of soft soya wax ensures that the votive candle in a jar called A Calm & Quiet Place by Yankee Candle burns quietly and evenly. This quality is further enhanced by the wick made from pure natural fibres.
To reach the upper end of the burning time of seven to ten hours, you can shorten the wick to approx. 5 mm. Also, do not extinguish the candle until a completely liquid layer of wax has formed on the top. Once the candle has burnt down and the fragrance has evaporated, you can use the pretty glass for other purposes. Store small household utensils in it, for example.

Use
Scented candles are very easy to use, but a few factors greatly improve the burning behaviour and safety. Always place the scented candle on an even surface in a windless place and away from flammable materials. Before lighting, you should also shorten the wick to around 5 mm. To avoid tunnelling, leave the scented candle burning for at least as long as it takes for the top layer of wax to melt completely. This can take around two hours. However, you should not exceed a burning time of four hours at a time. For optimum burning quality, you should always extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.
