Alcina was founded by the Bielefeld pharmacist Dr Kurt Wolff in 1946. The company founder's personal vision was to produce well-tolerated cosmetics for all age groups. The company uses natural raw materials such as high-quality plant oils, allantoin, vitamins and natural moisturising factors. The diversity of its product development was always very important to the company founder. It goes without saying that his customers should always find the right cosmetic product for them. The pharmacist and his team developed skincare products for a wide variety of skin types. Alcina continues to follow this standard when developing new products. Dr Kurt Wolff was awarded the Unna Medal of the German Dermatological Society for this work.

Alcina has developed the "Natural" hair lacquer for perfectly styled hair, which supports customised styling. Even short hair or highlights can be brought into the desired shape better than with hairspray alone. It also gives the hair a wonderful shine. Various manufacturers offer hairsprays for practically every hair need and styling project - from intensive moisturising to fixing. Despite the many types of hairspray, there are only minimal differences in application. To distribute the hairspray evenly over the hair, you should spray from a distance of around 30 cm.
