A modern interpretation of a classic
With Original Musk Blend No.1, Kiehl`s has created a fragrance that is aimed at all ladies and gentlemen who like sensual aromas and who also show their wild side. The eau de toilette spray comes in a classic bottle that hints at the origins of the fragrance. The New York-based company Kiehl's launched the first Musk back in 1924, albeit as a perfume oil. At some point, however, it disappeared, but was fortunately rediscovered in the 1960s. In 2014, Kiehl`s launched a new and modern version of the classic fragrance, which certainly knows how to impress with its floral-animalic scent. For an eau de toilette spray, Original Musk Blend No.1 is incredibly long-lasting. This is ensured by bergamot and orange blossom in the top note, while the floral accords open up a bouquet in the heart note. Ylang-ylang, roses, neroli and lily come together here before tonka beans, musk and patchouli appear in the final round. The eau de toilette spray from the globally successful label is not a mainstream fragrance. It appeals to individualists who are not afraid to polarise.
