Calendula officinalis, the marigold, is a member of the daisy family. It has been used as a medicinal plant since the 12th century. Calendula has an antibacterial effect, inhibits fungi and viruses and has a nourishing effect on the skin. Oils containing calendula are often used to treat minor injuries to the skin, as it promotes wound closure, relieves pain and has a localised circulation-promoting effect. Calendula massage oil also has these positive properties. It is ideal for daily body care, especially for the care of sensitive skin. Calendula oils contain various carotenoids, saponins and flavonoids. These high-quality ingredients optimally support the regeneration of the skin.
